Before the Sun Gets Up . . .

The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.

He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.

Isaiah 50:4

In light of Thursday's message by Pastor Terry, this verse seemed too appropriate to miss.

Jesus is spoken of in Isaiah 50:4 and it was Samuel who was awakened as seen in the teaching from 1 Samuel 3, but we are reminded to be ready to listen to and be taught by the Lord. . . even if it is, in fact, before the sun gets up!
